FREAK AND THE BEAST was produced by Caitlyn Connelly as an Interactive Multimedia thesis project at The College of New Jersey. The story and characters are inspired by the feelings of otherness that everyone experiences in middle school.

Caitlyn Connelly wrote, directed, and edited FREAK AND THE BEAST in addition to constructing the puppets and sets.

 

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Connelly unexpectedly puppeteered, voiced, shot, lit, and recorded audio for FREAK AND THE BEAST, giving it a very intentional DIY charm.
